	ASTW MEMBER Ewen Bell Freelance Writer & Photographer Awarded Australian Travel Photographer of the Year by the ASTW in 2007, and Best Australian Image in 2008. Ewen is an independent traveller who takes a little more time to explore each destination than most. This has been the key to his photography, from which a career in travel writing has successfully followed. Published on a weekly basis around Australia and overseas Ewen has discovered the pen is mightier than the camera. Travel is not just a leisure pursuit, it's a lifestyle choice. Having covered every continent across the globe Ewen has specialised in Asia during recent years. Everything from beach huts in Borneo to the luxury of Lebua. He loves Asia so much he even got married in Thailand, with chanting monks officiating a Buddhist ceremony on the beach. China is also a favourite for Ewen, having travelled over a dozen times to search out unique treasures of this vast nation. From Kashgar in the west to Guizhou in the south he has travelled overland by train, camel, bike and boat to dig out stories of great beauty.
